About
I’m a London-based freelance journalist for hire working in radio, podcasts, television and print.
I’ve worked with The Economist, Conde Nast, ITV, ITN, Global Television, Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) and Host Broadcast Services (HBS). Before moving to the UK in 2014, I spent eight years working for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in Vancouver and Saskatchewan and contributed to several programmes on CBC Radio.
I have produced podcasts the University of Oxford, Nesta, University College London and Rain City Chronicles. I have produced documentaries for the Tate's podcast and contributed to NPR's All Things Considered and Snap Judgement. I also produce a podcast looking at the history of condiments called Desert Island Dips.
I also teach podcasting and audio editing and have prepared workshops for the University of Oxford, University of Bath and for authors at Pan Macmillan.
Aside from that, I am a pretty decent human being that has one of those coveted blue checkmarks on Twitter. I never back down from a food-based challenge* and I have mixed feelings about brunch. I mean, I love the menu but I can’t justify spending that much money on a rasher of bacon or a poached egg? I am not good at sports but I like to pretend that in Grade 7 I was good a badminton for a month. Despite this questionable fact, I have covered three Olympic games and one World Cup.
But, now I am a storyteller type. Give me a captive audience and a microphone and I am over the moon.
*Unless it involves shellfish. I am allergic to shellfish.
